Yosemite National Park has 4 different entrances. From Sequoia, the quickest route is the south entrance. It’s about 144 miles and an average of 3 hours drive. The main attractions in Yosemite Valley are another 27 miles or 50 minutes drive inside of the park. Kings Canyon and Sequoia national parks are connected and similar, but not the same. The southwestern section of kings is very similar to sequoia (really, really big trees). The back of kings is the actual canyon and worth the hour drive to see. In both places you end up at pretty high elevation and you may feel it.
