Jul 23, 2012 · 153 posts · Joined 2012. #13 · Jul 25, 2012. Hi all, first post hese since buying a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara Altitude Saturday. The warranty is now 3/36. The dealer said Jeep is incentivizing extended warranties now and a 7/70 costs about $2K and lifetime ~$2.5K.
Dec 13, 2023 · Autos the w580 was new to jeep but not to AMG. For its time it was the first Tap shift 5 speed that was close ratio. First gear was much lower then the old 4 speed. The OD gear was only .87 not .65ish. In a jeep it was the best of what Jeep did in 2012 and it has a manual mode that locks it what top gear you set it at when you use the tap. Share This Page. Nov 25, 2015 · Step 1 – Loosen the bolt at the axle end. Each control arm is held in by (2) 21mm bolts. One bolt attaches the control arm to the frame and the other attaches the control arm to the axle. Locate and loosen the bolt at the axle end first. Once you have it loosened, go ahead and remove the bolt. Step 2 – Remove the lower shock mounting bolts. Locate the front shock absorbers. They are beside the coil springs. Two bolts hold the bottom of the shock to the axle. Use a 13mm shallow or deep socket to remove the nuts on the mounting bolts. Hold the mounting bolts stationary while you're loosening the nuts.
