Jul 28, 2014 · I'm in the process of getting a 1992 King Quad up and running again (LT-F4WDX if I remember correctly). My father purchased it about 1998 and used it for a while doing some light work around the house. He recently moved and I acquired it. The quad has been sitting in his garage for several years and had at least one family of mice living in it.
It has been a long time, but I recall something that said the cylinder heads were different, and the 300 was tuned for more low end torque. Having owned both a '97 250 and a '02 300, I can say the 250 seemed much happier at high RPM than my 300. Going to look at an 06 King quad 700 in like new condition for $4000. Also looking at a Polaris 500 sportsman 2008 for the same price. I ride an LTZ 400 great quad but need more comfort. Wife rides a Polaris sportsman 500, it's ok.Aug 13, 2022 · And for the valve clearances, I've heard two different specs, one is intake 0.004" and exhaust 0.006", and that other I heard from a youtuber who claimed this bike had 'very tight' valve clearances, said 0.002" intake, and 0.004" exhaust. 0.002" intake, and 0.004" exhaust is correct. Those are averages. Another thing to note is if the valve timing is that far off or the chain has skipped teeth, you could possibly have a bent valve that is hanging up. Id be doing a serious inspection of all the cam timing components. It sounds like it might just be time for a rebuild. Keeep us posted. Posted October 4, 2013.

However, I would use a thinner viscosity oil like 5W30 during the winter months. Suzuki however does not make a SAE 5W30 viscosity, so you’ll have to find an alternative brand with a similar viscosity that is JASO-MA approved for motorcycles.

The 2024 ATVs are out and I was just looking at the websites for Yamaha and Suzuki. The Grizzly and King Quad have come a long way, probably two of my favorite quads over the years.
