Gravure printing, also known as intaglio printing, is a printing process that uses engraved cylinders to transfer ink onto a substrate. The image or text is etched onto the cylinder using a chemical or mechanical process. The cylinder is then coated with ink, and excess ink is wiped away, leaving ink in the recessed areas of the cylinder.
