When you open the Uber app at an airport you will be told where to meet your ride. You can also check on the Uber website as well. San Francisco also have lyft and wingz in case you want options. I believe Lyft allowed tipping in the app from the beginning. Uber eventually added the tip option to the app a year or two ago. I usually tip unless there is something horrifically wrong.
