If you aren't using mods, those 3 oracle levels will be pretty wasted, but he'll still get a +4 song at 20, and if you respec him from scratch using a mod, it will work just fine. You'll need one of the respec mods for this but I posted a pure Dirge bard build which would work fine for Daeran. Or Thundercaller if you prefer.
