They are sharp out if the box but because of the geometry and thickness behind the edge they can’t be expected to slice as well as thinner knives like bucks. It’s physics. Sharpness and slicyness are not the same lol. Busse knives are well made but there is no magic with INFI or SR-101. They are just well balanced steels in my opinion.
