My fix was to power the DCM circuit from a circuit that was active when the ignition was ON. Probe around in the underhood fuse box and find one that's ON only when the key is ON. Using a couple add-a-circuit {Amazon Add-A-Circuit} the DCM is only powered when the key is ON. Using the passenger side switch to reset it, just put it half way up and stop, then pull all the way up and hold the switch until it stops.
