I picked up a 2000 VN800 about 2 weeks ago. I've started the bobber conversion. Doesn't looks like a lot has changed but another 2-3 weeks and it should have most of the changes done except paint. A little rich is normal on these. They have to be by design. Plug fouling is just part of owning a Vulcan 800, and it's way worse if you make short trips or you're just starting the engine to let it run a little then turning it off. After fixing the carb issues and riding her around the block I completely stripped her bare and started cutting junk out of the wiring harness. Could be out of adjustment, dirty, no good, etc. Give it a looksee. Post back with findings.
