Is it pve or pvp ? Your title suggests its for pve but riposte/parry builds are mostly pvp. Because of weight issues i would say. I never tried to riposte/animation with a greataxe in Elden Ring but if the animation is the same as Dark Souls 3, i would prefer the dagger too.
