JMHO but I would not lump the adjustable charge bar and the Spindex kit together as "upgrades." The Spindex is designed and produced by Mec. I can't conceive of anyone that had the newer design wishing to go back to the old. The adjustable charge bar is a device made by another company that was designed by another company to fit a mec.

Hi, I have been considering reloading steel for waterfowl season this fall/winter. I have a MEC reloader listed above that is set up for 12 gauge 2 3/4 shells. I am pretty sure I can use it for 3 inch loads if I make some adjustments, but does anyone know if I can adjust it to load 3 1/2 shells?

If I trust without checking I get random light loads that won't cycle the 2 SA shotguns I'm testing with. When I catch them I have a powder trickle dispenser nearby and make the adjustment.
