Yea these XCR 350s are 34.5" in real life (mounted on wheel and machine) and we run them with the stock setup and have no issues rubbing with the exception of maybe one or two times when we hit a steep rock at Hidden Falls with the steering turned all the way and even then it was minor.
The clutch problem is not blown out of proportion it's much worse. My 2020KRX started feeling like it was shifting at 500mi Kawasaki said it wasn't and to keep driving it this is the first week. I drove it 3000mile in 6 months they replaced both clutches and belt. If you have room, you can never have too much trailer. 18' seems a bit much but again, more is better than less if you have the means to pull it and room to park it.
