As an FYI to anyone else, Ithaca offers a service for the pre-1963 Model 37s where they machine the receiver to accept current production M37 barrels which, by the way, are interchangeable without fitting. The receiver is also polished and reblued. Cost for the whole thing, including the new barrel itself, is $750.00.The current Ithaca's coming out of Ohio are excellent guns. No stamped parts, all American made, no imported parts. Very tight tolerances. Lots of good used ones out there too, just do your research.
