Eddie looked so terrible. He was erratic and knew he wasn't ok, but was so determined that being a firefighter with the 118 again would fix everything. I loved that they made a point of Bobby worrying about Eddie throughout the episode and then rightly telling Eddie no out of serious concern for him.
And you don't need to watch any of Lone Star to understand 911. None of the events of the crossover have any lasting consequences on either shows. The only thing I'd recommend is not watching the crossover until you've at least seen up to episode 4x03 of 911.
