I love my EBR Mod 0 probably my favorite of the dozen or so M14/M1A's that I own. My Zombie Apocalypse rifle would still be my one of my USGI builds in a GI fiberglass stock. The weight of the EBR is manageable, my JAE G2 far out weighs my EBR. Any one of my 3 McMillan match rifles probably comes within less than 2lbs difference.The M14/M1A trigger is designed to be pulled in more of an upward direction. The original trigger design is not user friendly when a pistol grip is used. The M14 EBR trigger shoe is wider & longer, with more surface area. The steel M14 EBR trigger shoe is designed with the correct angle required to direct the trigger pull more to the back than up.Contrary to popular belief, the USGI fiberglass stocks run towards to high end of weight, 37-41 oz or so. Remove the steel flapper from the buttplate assy. That will take off 5-6 oz or so. Whittle up a wood filler block to fill the hinge area where the flapper went.
