When we cruised on the Dawn we were assigned to a PrivaSea (hull) balcony and were quite satisfied with it. Here are a couple of pictures. A view looking out to the balcony from our cabin. The balconies on deck 8 were just as wide as the balconies above them but they were partially enclosed by the hull.

Be aware that the Epic Courtyard (pool area) is far from quite with 2 big vents and some kind of motors in them running constantly. Plus you are in a prison yard like pit with walls going up 2 or 3 decks.
The breakaway is newer and has better facilities. The Epic sells around 10 Posh passes first come first serve. You would need to be the very first person to board after priority boarders (frequent cruisers) and walk fast (not run) to Guest Services. Posted January 22, 2011. I absolutely LOVED Oasis but Epic has her beat with the aft balconies. Oasis has no standard balconies which face the wake. She has other ammenities such as the boardwalk and aqua park instead of cabins facing the wake. I loved Epic's totally private aft facing balcony cabin.
