On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun.

I like the Gen4 grip frame better, but as you know the G30S uses the same size frame, just in Gen3 SF form instead of Gen4. The slide is thinner on the 30S as it uses a G36 slide (on a G30SF frame).

I like the G36, but never could see much advantage in using a thick frame with a thin slide; the pistol is only as thin as it's thickest part.BZ3. The 30s holds 10+1 and is a double stacked magazine while the G36 holds 6+1 due to being single stacked. The G30S slide is the same thickness as the G36 but has the frame of a G30SF.
