I'm in a very similar boat. I had a missed miscarriage last year and very light periods ever since, they are getting lighter only lasting 1-2 days, not heavy. I had some fertility tests, scans and blood tests which have come back normal. So the tests are lighter in the mornings? Don't panic, lots of people's hcg is stronger in mid afternoon urine or even evening urine. Anything could be affecting the test, drinking more, getting up to pee in the night etc. Or maybe your hcg is so high in the morning the test struggled to read it google the hook effect.
