May 16, 2010 · #1 · May 16, 2010. Alright so after doing too much research and hearing every tuner tell me that I should put that PCM in my truck I finally did it. There is very little info on the swap on this website so I had to let you guys know that it can be done. When the 0411 first came back from Black Bear, there was only 22 deg at wot. Cruise timing was way low too, mid 20's rather than mid 30's. I sent it back with the data logs and asked for more timing. They did add cruise timing, but wot is still 22.0. For the record there is no trace of knock.Hey all, I'm looking into doing the 0411 swap. I have a 99 tahoe 4X4 and have been reading for sometime that the swap is well worth the price and well worth the benefits. It supposedly requires repinning the (4) LT1 pcm connectors to the (2) 411 pcm connectors, but uses the existing LT1 Harness. You should then be able to log data and tune LT1 motor using EFILive or HPtuners using vortec 5.7 tune as foundation. Ive pulled the wiring diagrams, bought the PCM and connectors for less than $100.

EFILive and HPTuners both offer "Custom Operating Systems" for the 0411 to support boost and or nitrous. There will be a ZN4 code on the sticker if that is the case. I pm'd lextech a couple years ago and he sent me the spread sheets. You do have to add a couple wires from the gear indicator to the PCM. Either down on the switch or from behind the instrument cluster so that the 0411 knows what gear it's in. The black box didn't care.

You have to license the tune that you want to use and you have to license the PCM. The only way to use the segment swap feature is if the tune on the PCM is the same OS as the tune you want to use. I don't believe the V6 os and the V8 os are the same. so you wouldn't be able to swap segments. I could be wrong though.Location. Washington State. Once you have the OS on there, you can open the corvette file and copy and paste the spark/fuel values etc back over and make any changes needed manually. The 0411 swap is worthwhile. It’s rather complicated though. An odd thing to try. It’s worked on many cars that have codes that refuse to clear in Chevy and Dodges we tune at the shop. Remove the positive batt cable at the batt and short it to the negative terminal for 30 seconds or so. A P01 PCM from a 2001 or 2002 Express / Savana with the L31 5.7L or L30 5.0L engine has a calibration setup for a 4x CKP. For the P01 PCM to correctly control your 1999 Vortec based engine platform (4x CKP and a 1x CMP in the distributor), it must be programmed as a 2001 or 2002 Express / Savana with either an L30 or L31 calibration. 0411 PCM swap on Vortec 454.
